Tuesday Double...
Chepstow 16:10 - Mega Watt
1m, Class 4 Handicap - Good to Soft, Good in Places
Mega Watt looks to have got in off a very decent mark for his handicap bow and looks a potentially smart type over this kind of trip. William Jarvis is famed for getting this type off the mark in such handicaps and with Alan Munro booked everything looks in the selections favour today. Staying on a decent 2nd behind the Barry Hills trained Thannaan last time looked a decent performance as the front two pulled 6l's clear of the third. A repeat of that should be good enough to get the better of the highly tried Last of The Line, who maybe next best. (Early Price 5/2)
WON 13/8F
The money was down and the selection obliged, with a tight finish that provided plenty of excitement. Alan Munro's worth was seen to full affect when encouraging his mount to pass the gutsy Bere Davis by the shortest of short heads.
Kelso 17:20 - Mirage Dore
2m 2f, Class 3 Handicap Hurdle - Good to Soft, Good in Places
The more than capable Rosie Davidson, takes off a more than handy 3lb's from the top weight Mirage Dore in today's lucky last at Kelso. The Lucinda Russell trained gelding looks a class apart in today's field and is taken to notch the hat-trick today. After a decent start to his jumping career, Mirage Dore looks set for a fruitful summer campaign and is a versatile type to keep an eye on. Forecast 6/4 overnight, the 3/1 on offer this morning is just too big to miss! (Early Price 7/2)
3RD 11/4f
Held up and travelling well for the most part Mirage Dore couldn't quite stay on up the home straight when asked for one final effort. With three in a line jumping the last, Rosie Davidson switched her mount to the rails to try and sneak up the inside, however she was eventually out-stayed by the gutsy Tartan Snow.
