Friday Double...

Catterick 13:10 - Chef de Cour
2m 3f, Beginners' Chase - Soft, Heavy in places.

Chef de Cour makes his chase debut for the Len Lungo yard after an impressive victory last time out over hurdles. The form of that hurdle race has been enhanced by Tartan Snow, who was a clear cut 2nd to Bold Ransom at Newcastle on Wednesday. If he can translate his hurdle form over the larger obstacles then he has an outstanding chance.
3rd 3/1

This was one for the Track Facts as Wee Forbes put in a strong front running performance, leading from pillar to post in what was very soft conditions. Our selection traveled nicely and baring one mistake jumping the 3rd last may well have got closer to the eventual winner. This was a decent beginners chase and I expect more winners to come out of the race.

Catterick 15:20 - Loch Oscaig
2m, Class 4 Novices' Handicap Chase - Soft, Heavy in places.

Loch Oscaig was done no favours by a slow pace at Catterick last time, and finished 2nd behind the progressive Blast from the Past. The Analyst's selection is likely to be provided with a strong gallop from the front running Media Man, and will be looking to stay on over the sharp 2m trip. Off a lenient mark this looks an ideal opportunity to claim his first win over fences.

WON 4/1

The race panned out as we suggested with, with Media Man leading the field for much of the race before making way at the 2nd last to the impressive Loch Oscaig. The Analyst's selection jumped and travelled well to run home a 10l winner.
