Monday Double...
Plumpton 14:20 - Noble Future
2m, Class 5 Maiden Hurdle - Soft, Good to Soft In Places
Noble Future represents the best connections in what looks a very weak race that won't take a lot of winning. A reproduction of the decent form shown last time out behind The Analyst tipped, Your Amount will be be more than enough to take the spoils today. Sam Thomas gets the leg up on what should be one of his more straight forward tasks of the 07/08 national hunt season.
3RD 11/8F
Travelling well for the most part, Noble Future had every chance of losing his maiden tag today however he doesnt look the most trust worthy of beasts and despite Sam Thomas's best efforts he was more interested in looking around rather than getting his head in front. Having said that he was only beaten just over a length and may in time benefit from some kind of head gear.
Plumpton 16:50 - Present M'lord
3m 2f, Class 4 Handicap Chase - Good to Soft
Present M'lord is a confident selection in what is a competitive Plumpton race over the famous Gold Cup trip. With the Alner's continuing to turn out winners they have had a successful season that has at least provided some light relief after the accident that left Robert hospitalised for the majority of the campaign. This ultra consistent Gelding is testament to the yard and the hard work that Sue and stable hands have continued to put in. A return to today's trip on ground sure to suit will hopefully provide us with another double and a flying start to the racing week.
WON 5/2
I real gutsy performance from our selection as Present M'lord jumped and travelled his opponents into the ground. Great ride from Dayrl Jacob who got his gelding up by a cosy 1 3/4l. The Analyst grabbed the early 4/1, hope you did the same.

Monday Double...
Stratford 14:30 - Your Amount
2m, Class 4 Maiden Hurdle - Good
Alan King's, Your Amount was a reasonable 3rd of 16 behing the Nick Gifford trained Pascha Bere at Folkestone last time out. That was only the geldings 2nd run over timber and first back at the Alan King yard after a spell with Willie Musson. He had stable companion Poliglotti a further 7l's behind him on that occasion and the former is currently the 7/4 favourite for the 2nd Division of this event. Both charges look to have oustanding chances, but at a price we will go with Your Amount to get us over our normal Monday Blues.
WON 9/4f
A gutsy performance from Your Amount, who quickened nicely when asked to go and win his race by Choc Thornton. Always travelling up in the van, he led jumping the 2nd last and ran on to win by 3 1/2l from Noble Future. The Analyst was on early and grabbed 11/4 as Alan Kings charge returned the well backed 9/4f.
Stratford 16:00 - Mickmacmagoole
2m 3f, Class 4 Novices' Handicap Hurdle - Good
The Analyst likes to give his selections the chance to redeem themselves, largely because he would kick himself if they won, but also to try and prove he wasnt that far wrong in the first instance. Looking back at his previous race review, leads us to believe that both the step up in trip and drop in class are the two ingredients that that will prove our selection to be a recipe for success.
UP 9/2
Never really travelling or jumping Mickmacmagoole looks a gelding low on confidence and still suffering after a fall at Cheltenham 3 starts ago. A horse clearly with ability, Evan Williams job is now to focus his charges mind back on jumping and to fall in love with the game once more. 3 strikes?
