Tuesday Double...
Newcastle 14:50 - Noble Alan
2m, Class 4 Novices' Hurdle - Good, Good to Firm in Places
Nicky Richards saddles the exciting Noble Alan, who looks a good thing to get off the mark over timber today. With a cloud hanging over the Howard-Johnson yard, we will take on Kealshore Boy who is not sure to be suited by the faster ground.
WON 8/11f
A thanks must go to Howard-Johnson for the involvement of his gelding Professor Higgins and the role he played as a pace maker. Graham Wylie's 2nd string set a decent clip that played right into the hands of our selection who needs exactly that to quicken from. Given a decent tow, Noble Alan, sat 3rd for most of the way round, before jumping the 2nd last in-front and after being shaken up went on to win his race by 1 3/4l.
Newcastle 16:50 - Stagecoach Opal
3m, Class 3 Novices' Handicap Chase - Good Good to Firm in Places
Sue Smiths consistent Stagecoach Opal, deserves to win a race this campaign and this looks to be the perfect opportunity. A repeat of his last performance when 4l second to the impressive Shardakhan at Huntingdon will be good enough to take todays contest.
NR
Eye Cathers;
Mickmacmagoole makes a quick reappearance after yesterdays flop, however the Analyst will not be saying third time lucky... So watch this hack up!! Amber Brook, part of last Fridays double is back out today but dropped 7 furlongs in trip we will take a watching brief with this one.

Monday Double...
Stratford 14:30 - Your Amount
2m, Class 4 Maiden Hurdle - Good
Alan King's, Your Amount was a reasonable 3rd of 16 behing the Nick Gifford trained Pascha Bere at Folkestone last time out. That was only the geldings 2nd run over timber and first back at the Alan King yard after a spell with Willie Musson. He had stable companion Poliglotti a further 7l's behind him on that occasion and the former is currently the 7/4 favourite for the 2nd Division of this event. Both charges look to have oustanding chances, but at a price we will go with Your Amount to get us over our normal Monday Blues.
WON 9/4f
A gutsy performance from Your Amount, who quickened nicely when asked to go and win his race by Choc Thornton. Always travelling up in the van, he led jumping the 2nd last and ran on to win by 3 1/2l from Noble Future. The Analyst was on early and grabbed 11/4 as Alan Kings charge returned the well backed 9/4f.
Stratford 16:00 - Mickmacmagoole
2m 3f, Class 4 Novices' Handicap Hurdle - Good
The Analyst likes to give his selections the chance to redeem themselves, largely because he would kick himself if they won, but also to try and prove he wasnt that far wrong in the first instance. Looking back at his previous race review, leads us to believe that both the step up in trip and drop in class are the two ingredients that that will prove our selection to be a recipe for success.
UP 9/2
Never really travelling or jumping Mickmacmagoole looks a gelding low on confidence and still suffering after a fall at Cheltenham 3 starts ago. A horse clearly with ability, Evan Williams job is now to focus his charges mind back on jumping and to fall in love with the game once more. 3 strikes?

Monday Double...
Hereford 14:30 - I Hear A Symphony
2m 1f, Class 4 Maiden Hurdle - Good
The Analyst wasn’t too enamored with the ride that Richard Johnson gave our selection last time out at Chepstow and reckons with a more careful approach Philip Hobbs charge looks a good bet to get off the mark today. This looks a weak race and I fully expect this gelding out of Accordion to go on to bigger and better things.
2nd 5/4f
Oh boy, does The Analyst not like Mondays! Feeling confident after some good results at the backend of last week our first selection settled just behind the leaders on the inside. With a smooth passageway through to the lead he was sent on by Tom O' Brien around the top bend to go and win the race, or so we thought! But an awkward head carraige and constantly hanging to the left proved to be the undoing of I Hear A Symphony and he failed by 2 1/2 lengths.
Hereford 15:30 - Mickmacmagoole
2m 1f, Class 3 Handicap Hurdle - Good
The Analyst was at Cheltenham on the 26th Jan to see Mickmacmagoole fall when going well in a hot looking handicap. Usually a sound jumper, Evan Williams charge looks to be off a nice racing weight and should gain compensation today over a trip and ground that are ideal.
UP 15/8f
Out the back of the field for most of the race, combined with some sloppy jumping and you can see why the selection finished 6th! However 'magoole' made stealthy headway down the back straight to join the bunch of leaders and appeared to be travelling best, on the bridle as they turned for home. That was as good as it got as he faided tamely down the field. Oh dear!
