Week's review...

A tough first week at the helm for the Analyst, however nobody said this was going to be easy!

We've seen waterlogged tracks, Jockeys forgetting how many circuits to ride, Cheltenham fancies toppled and our favourite staying hurdler Lough Derg, go to the top of the BHB Order of Merit...!!

For those of you that don't know, Lough Derg is the Horse in the top left hand corner of the home page. The Analyst is close friends with the owner, Mr William Frewen and is delighted to see his tough little stayer doing so well... (esp. as he is on at big price for the afore-mentioned Order of Merit). Lough Derg showed his versatility on Saturday by winning over 2m 3f at his beloved Ascot. For fear of the dreaded jinx, The Analyst will not put up Lough Derg in a daily double but suggests that readers add him to their note book as this gallant 8 year old always runs his race.

With the weather set to play a huge part again this week, The Analyst will be looking to build on his strike rate, starting at Folkestone today.

Remember this site goes officially live on Jan 28th... so spread the word, and get that counter ticking over.

Let's hope by next weeks review we have got a little bit more yellow up on the board!!

The Analyst
