Monday Double...

Ludlow 14:30 - Cee Cee Rider
2m, Class 4 Mares Only Handicap Hurdle - Good to Soft, Good in places

Today Alan King saddles Cee Cee Rider, attempting to lose her maiden tag at the 7th time of asking. Progressively better over timber than when competing in bumpers, this consistent mare has met some handy types in her last 3 outings. Katess and Rosie All Over have both come out and won subsequently, the latter's success being as recently as yesterday in decent novices event at Kelso. Snake Charmer, who accounted for The Analyst's choice last time out had previously run decent races, most notably when 3rd behind Harris Bay at Wincanton.
UP 7/1

Hmmm, one that threw all known form out of the window. In truth this was big field, but with a small amount of talent. Many horses including our selection never got into the race, and although Cee Cee Rider was badly hampered at one the obstacles, it made no difference to the result. 33/1 shot Chinara went onto to score by 2l to make a mockery of the betting.

Ludlow 16:00 - Panjo Bere
2m, Class 3 Handicap Hurdle - Good to Soft, Good in places

The Analyst is sweet on the chances of Gary Moore's talented hurdler Panjo Bere, who looks to make amends after an indifferent run in the Lanzarote hurdle at Sandown last time. Panjo Bere never really travelled in what was a muddling affair, seeing many of the fancied runners never really get into the race. A drop in trip & class, presents an easier chance for this gelding to get back in the winners circle.

UP 2/1f

A disappointing race from Gary Moore's charge who seems to have lost his way since a promising start to his jumping career. In touch until 4 out, son Jamie's mount emptied very quickly to be out paced and soundly beaten. So who knows what's next for the gelding apart from a likely drop in weights and I suggest a stiff kick up the behind.

Maybe a swift kick up the backside for young Jamie too?
