Thursday Double...
Exeter 14:50 - Or Bleu
2m 3f, Class 3 Handicap Hurdle - Good to Soft, Soft in Places
The form is in the book for Philip Hobbs Chestnut who will relish the step back up in trip and today's perfect conditions. A close up 3rd over this course to the Alan King trained and highly progressive Oh Crick, means he should have the beating of that geldings stable mate Rood Report. Or Bleu was last seen over today's trip in Dec 07 when finishing under a length 2ND to a decent yardstick in Overclear. Back in third that day was Greenbridge who won so impressively yesterday.
WON 7/2
Left in the lead at the last, a power pact ride from Richard Johnson ensured that our selection got up by a neck from the fast finishing Purple Patch. Could this be the start of The Analysts very own purple patch... well, we were due some luck!
Exeter 15:55 - Pur De Sivola
2m 3f, Class 3 Novices' Chase - Good to Soft, Soft in Places
As long as there are no ill affects from his fall at Kempton last time, this should be a penalty kick for Alan Kings gelding. The Class horse in the field, we might just get a reasonable price with the Philip Hobbs trained Oceanos des Obeaux likely to chase the selection home in 2ND.
4th 4/6f
In a good enough position throughout, Pur De Sivola could only stay on one paced to finish 4th by just over 10 lengths. This could be the bare minimum for a horse that clearly gallops and looks as though it will get further in time. All in all a dissapointing end to what looked a sure fire double.

Wednesday Double...
Kempton 14:10 - Procas De Thaix
2m, Class 4 Novices' Hurdle - Good to Soft
Nicky Henderson's inmate looks as though he could be a progressive type following his first couple of runs. Don't be put off by the 120 day absence as the trainer always gets them ready. A course and distance victory last time out and a very tidy run against Alan King's Theatre Girl makes this chestnut gelding one to be on your side today.
2nd 11/10f
Never really travelling and with vital mistakes at the 4th & 5th flights, Procas De Thiax ran on gamely but never troubled an impressive winner from the Alan King yard. Greenbridge ran on to score by a distance.
Kempton 15:50 - Pace Shot
2m 5f, Handicap Hurdle - Good to Soft
Well i don't know if you have noticed anything similar about today's selections yet but we are going for an owner double! Good luck to Mr Green and connections. Pace Shot has been running in some fine company this season and in fact all his life. 14 lengths 3rd to Backboard last time and 15 lengths behind Wingman the time before doesn't read too badly to me. Yes he has to prove that he really stays this trip but I thought he was staying on last time at Ascot and the course today will definately help. On the form book he has a great chance at what The Analyst thinks could be a nice price!
UP 7/2F
A mistake 2 out put pay to Pace Shots chances as he looked to have every chance under resiliant Philip Hide ride. Another game performance from a horse who always runs his race and deserves to pick up a win before the seasons out.
