Monday Double

Wincanton 14:50 - Earth Planet
2m 4f, Class 5 Maiden Hurdle - Soft

A drop in class and trip means this is the perfect opportunity for Earth Planet to get off the mark this season. Trained by the Champion, it is rare for a talented hurdler of his not to get at least a single victory in the form line and with very decent form behind the high class Cryptic this looks like the time to get on!
WON 7/4

A lovely ride by Ruby Walsh! He kept Earth Planet wide throughout the race (as he did with most of his other rides), possibly looking for the better ground. This artistic rider let the front two go a reasonable distance ahead before closing in on them rounding the turn where he pulled quite some distance away to win very stylishly. Novice chasing awaits.

Remember the price quoted above is the SP. The Analyst backs all his selections at 10:30am with BET365, knowing if the horse drifts throughout the day we get the bigger SP.

Wincanton 15:50 - Harris Bay
2m 6f, Class 3 Handicap Hurdle - Soft

The Henrieta Knight trained Harris Bay is still off an attractive hurdling mack despite his run away victory over C&D last time. Ultra consistent over both timber and fences, he is taken to still be ahead of the handicapper and once again teaming up with Timmy Murphy (7 wins from 10 rides) he looks great value to get the better of the Paul Nicholls trained Iroquois Warrior.
P/U 9/2

Never got in a blow! Travelling out the back for much of the race, Harris Bay never really appeared to be going very well. Always going the shortest way Timmy Murphy couldn't get a tune out of his mount and was eventually pulled up in the home straight.

Thursday Double...

Wincanton 15:10 - Predateur
2m, Class 2 Novice's Handicap Chase - Good to Soft, Good in Places

Wincanton is a track to follow The Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls, especially with the form that his horses are showing at present. Predateur is talked of very highly back at home, and has been backed by his trainer to run a BIG race in the Arkle if that's where he eventually ends up. A return to 2m and the likelihood of a strong gallop should see The Analyst's selection get of the mark this season.

4th 15/8f

A dissapointing show from a horse that looks like it maybe done for speed over this minimum trip. A step up in distance is probably the next step as Nicholls looks to get some wins into his young novice chaser.

Wincanton 15:40 - Cryptic
2m 6f, Class 2 Novices' Hurdle - Good to Soft, Good in Places

Cryptic, ran a gallant race in ground softer than ideal last time out to go down by just 1l to the well handicapped Ballyshan. Better ground and a drop back in trip, should see Philip Hobbs trained gelding get his head back in front.

WON 6/4f

A pillar to post victory for this exciting Hobbs charge. Galloping all the way to the line, it was really just a steering job for Richard Johnson as Cryptic went onto to score by 11l.
