Royal Ascot, Wednesday E/W Double...

Ascot 15:45 - Phoenix Tower E/W
1m 2f, Class 1 Prince of Wales Stakes (Group 1) - Good to Firm

The old master Henry Cecil saddles the progressive Phoenix Tower and what looks to be another great chance for him to add to his already impressive Royal Ascot tally. A battling 2ND last time out behind the impressive yard stick Creachadoir, Phoenix Tower is sure to appreciate the step up in trip and rattling fast ground under-foot. The Hat-trick seeking Duke of Marmalade may give our selection most to worry about, however at an early price of 5/1 our selection is an E/W steel!! (Early Price 5/1)
2ND 7/1

Ascot 16:20 - Lang Shinning E/W
1m, Class 2 Royal Hunt Cup Handicap - Good to Firm

The Royal Hunt Cup, is one of my favourite races at Royal Ascot. 20+ runners do battle over the straight mile and despite being a staying race of sorts, speed is certainly of the essence. Un-sure as to the draw bias and whether or not you wont to be high or low, I think the fact that Lang Shinning is drawn against the Red Hot Favourite for the race Bankable can only be another positive. 2ND last time out in a class 1, Sir Michaels Stoute's colt sets the standard here and with former champ Kieran Fallon being so bullish about his chances, this is another E/W bet not to miss! (Early Price 6/1)

Royal Ascot, Tuesday Double...

Ascot 14:30 - Tariq
1m, Class 1 Queen Anne Stakes (Group 1) - Good to Firm

Peter Chapple-Hyam, has a good Ascot record and can the 2008 Rotal Meeting off to a flyer today. Jimmy Fortune gets the lep up on the talented Tariq, whose decent 3rd behind Creachadoir last time out will have him spot on for today. Gauranteed to love the ground this striking chestnut colt should take all the beating in today's opener. (Early Price 5/1)
UP 5/1

Thirsk 16:00 - Princess Taylor
1m, Class 3 Fillies' Handicap - Firm

The firmer the better for Princess Taylor as she looks to have ideal conditions to get off the mark in the 2008 flat season. After a creditable 2nd of 18 at Newmarket last time, this tough filly is expected to go one better today for the inform M.Botti (21% strike rate in the last 14 days) and the positive jockey booking of Daryl Holland. (Early Price 9/2)
WON 7/2
