Week Review...

The tough week in the office for the Analyst... with our selections running well for the most part but just failing to get placed or thier heads in front!

Remember I will tag every horse I tip to provide you with all the form and thoughts you require at the click of a button. Taking time to look through the weekend runners you would have seen Tino Tino win at 5/2 & Forest Miller be placed at 50/1!! Ballabriggs also ran a gallant race in defeat, finishing 2nd in Ayr's handicap chase.

County Zen gave us a great run for our money and provided me with a little more confidence heading into week 6! Stables to keep an eye on at present are Donald McCain, Venetia Williams and The Champ, Paul Nicholls as they continue to turn out winners. It was also great to see Len Lungo back in the winners circle so look out for that yard with runners at the northern tracks as we fast approach Cheltenham.

Quick word for the City Punter... (who I actually played golf with yesterday) he has been on fire as of late so keep checking his blog for alternative tips in the sporting world!!

Be Lucky...

Wednesday Double...

Leicester 14:30 - Ballabriggs
2m 7f, Class 4 Maiden Chase - Good to Soft, Soft in Places

The selection has been crying out for this step up in trip after being placed second in his last two starts. With ability to handle the soft going conditions Ballabriggs, a strong galloping type is taken to out stay his rivals here today.
UR 8/15f

Unseating his rider at first fence, meant that Ballabriggs never got the chance to give us a run for our money. Up with the lead group, Jason Maguire's mount slipped approaching the 1st and catapulted his Jockey high over the fence. The Analyst hopes that both horse and Jockey return fine after their dramatic fall today.

Newcastle 15:40 - Hold The Bid
3m, Class 4 Handicap Chase - Good to Soft

This 8 year old bay gelding has been running consistently well all season. A winner last time out, (second has since won at Doncaster on Friday) he is fancied to score over the 3 mile trip at the main expense of Silent Bay.
4th 11/4f

Some early jumping errors meant that when push came to shove there was little left in the tank for Hold The Bid. Keeping on at one pace, Sue Smiths Gelding could only finish 11 & 1/2l 4th to the eventual winner Crackadee.
