Wednesday E/W Double...
York 13:40 - Supaseus E/W
1m 2f, Class 2 Handicap - Good to Firm
Tough and consistent, Supaseus ran well in defeat last time out when 4th at Newmarket behind the high class Proponet. A strip fitter after that and with Hughie Morrisons charges running so well, I can see the step up to 10f and the return to a smaller field all in his favour and he will take all the beating today. (Early Price 9/1)
3RD 9/1
Not a bad run for our money! Always up with the early pace jockey Steve Drowne has Supaseus in a lovely position running 3rd along the rail. With around 2f to go you thought there was a chance but the selection just didn't quite quicken and a 1l 3rd is where we stayed.
York 15:10 - Haatef E/W
6f, Class 1(Group 2) Duke of York Stakes - Good to Firm
Unbeaten over 6f the high class Haatef, looks to build on his reputation as a 3 year old and improve even further this year. Going well fresh, and with trip and ground ideal Kevin Prendergasts charge looks to be off a favourable mark and sets the standards today. At an each-way price this is too good an opportunity not to get on! (Early Price 7/1)
UP 8/1
Held up for much of the contest Haatef moved well throughout the race and stayed on eyecatchingly into 5th. Taking on a couple of older types this was no discrace at all and I expect the Hamdan Al Maktoum colt to figure highly this year.

Hi guys, I have been sceptical of your P&L figures for some time, but today I've noticed a definite error:
You had a 5/2 and 11/4 double coming to 18/1. I get that to be just over 12/1.
Having checked your last five doubles I have also found the following:
4/1 & 5/4 - you have as 13/1 when it is 11.25/1
5/1 & 9/4 - you have as 33/1 when its 32/1
4/5 & 5/2 - you have as 6/1 when its 5.3/1
While I like some of your tips, I think your profit figures are misleading. The above alone has inflated your profits by £9 to a £1 stake.
Hi, and thanks for your comments.
As this is the Analyst's personal blog and not an active website as such we use the £1 level stake return to gage our "own" success with regards to the bets "we" have placed.
We bet with BET365 and take the early price on offer, knowing that if the horse drifts in the market we get the bigger price.
When placing our bet on the "double" we are provided with the odds based on the early price we have taken. Therefore this is the price we publish when the double is landed. Obviously if the selection shortens in price throughout the day there will be discrepencies if working out the odds based on the new SP.
By all means keep your own stats on the prices you have managed to secure. However we do encourage follows of The Analyst to take the early prices on offer, then their returns will be the same as our own.
Which ever way you look at it, things are going well and we hope the good form continues!!
The Analyst
