Thursday Double...

Goodwood 16:00 - Summer Winds
1m 3f, Class 4 Handicap - Good to Firm

Jamie Spencer gets the leg up on Summer Winds today and hopes to make it 2 from 3 on the chestnut gelding. Lightly raced, and progressive enough over these longer trips the selection looks to confirm the form at Salisbury form last time out with Trianon and get the better of the Richard Hannon trained, Forget It, whom despite is in-different form so far is a hot favourite for today's contest. (Early Price 7/2)
2ND 7/2F

Haydock 16:10 - Major Magpie
1m, Class 3 Handicap - Good to Firm

One for sorrow? Let's hope not! Eight for a wish! Well it's drawn 8, so lets "wish" that wins by 10ls! That's enough of that old superstition, Major Magpie has the form in the book and an impressive C&D win under his belt making this consistent 6 year old the one to beat today! With question marks about all the other runners, Philip Makin gets the leg up on the bay gelding that I expect to fly home in front! (Early Price 9/4f)
UP 5/2F
