Punchestown 15:40 - J'y Vole
2m, Class 1 Novices' Chase - Yielding
Willie Mullins saddles the exciting novice J'y Vole who looks weighted to run a big race in a great look heat. Receiving weight all around, our selection is taken to improve for the return to 2m and can reverse the form with the consistent Thyne Again after a 7l beating at Naas last time out. The latter has since had a tough race at Cheltenham, and looks as though he is ideally suited by further.
3rd 3/1f
The joint tactics of both J'y Vole and Perce Rock, basically put pay to both their chances in what was a fiercely contested 2m chase. Taking each other on for the lead they effectively cut their own throats setting up the race for the held up Big Zeb who stayed on best of all. Travelling well for the most part our selection looked as though he would run away from the field at one point, however the early excursions meant he eventually went down by 7l's.
Perth 17:05 - Pacha D'Oudairies
2m 4f, Class 3 Handicap Hurdle - Good, Good to Soft In Places
Travelling sweetly until being brought down 4 out just 5 days ago, Paul Nicholl's seeks quick compensation for his talented gelding. Looking as though he was running a massive race in a tougher looking class 2, the drop in grade and 1 furlong in trip just look like further positives and more reason to lump on! 3/1 on BET365 at the moment, Pacha D'Oudairies is already carrying The Analysts money.
2nd 5/2f
Travelling much better this time round, Pacha D'Oudairies can offer no excuses and was just beaten by a slightly better handicapped horse. Slightly hanging right on the run-in, he eventually went down by 3 3/4l's to the Venetia Williams trained De Blanc.
