Friday Double...

Newbury 14:05 - Big Buck's
Class 3, 2m 1f Novice's Chase - Soft, Heavy in Places

Newbury is a BIG trends track, so when you hear a sentence that includes Newbury, Paul Nicholls & Novice Chase you have to sit up and listen. The Champion Trainer is a big fan of his 5 year old gelding who looks to have a very bright future. Just touched off behind Moon Over Miami last time, the ground and trip are ideal for him to get another 1 on the form line.
WON 8/11f

A two horse race in every sense of the word. Only two horse were backed in the early morning exchanges, only two horses really jumped and travelled throughout the race, and only two horses were involved in a tight and exciting finish. Good news for the Analyst, meant it was the Paul Nicholls trained Big Buck's that came out on top. The Champion trainers record at Newbury is excellent and this was another one for the strike rate.

Newbury 15:15 - West End Rocker
Class 4, 3m Maiden Hurdle - Soft, Heavy in Places

Alan King looks to lose West End Rockers maiden tag at the 3rd time of asking in today's Emma Lavelle sponsored event. The form line behind useful types, Go Amwell and the subsequent winner Merchant Paddy look solid and he is taken to gain a deserved first success over his more exposed rivals.

UP 7/2jf

Travelling well for the most part, Alan Kings West End Rocker looked to be giving favourite backers a good run for thier money. However the step up in distance seemed to be just a bridge too far for a maiden that didn't find anything off the bridal.

Hi Analyst!

Great double yesterday. I have been following you for about 2 weeks now and it was about time you produced a decent result for the punters. You started well but have faded away until yesterday.

.....however i think your selection today in the 2.05 may come unstuck. Big Bucks has beaten Barbers Shop and then in turn was beaten by Moon Over Miami at Newbury. That performance does not discourageme me from liking him but it does advertise the fact he doesn't do things quickly, which will play into the hands of Charlie Egerton's, Kruguyrova. She firmly put It's A Dream in his place at Plumpton last time beating Nicky Henderson's runner 20lengths more than on their last meeting at the same venue......the run was mightily impressive and Kruguyrova is my selection to lead all the way in Newbury's 2.05pm.

May the best horse win!

Kruguyrova, my selection did me proud and at one stage looked like it had to win, however your selection Analyst just prevailed.

As i said i thought Kruguyrova would lead all the way round and it did but just couldn't hang on to finish first past the post......a horse i think to watch in the future.

Well done though Analyst....your half way there to another double!
